Good security is highly important if you are going to sleep soundly at night and feel safe and protected in your own home. At the same time good security is just as important if you want to be safe and secure at your work property and for your belongings to be well guarded too.

Anything you purchase is an investment of sorts – you are buying it because you think it will be worth it. In the case of a business then you are hoping that your purchase will pay you back because it will earn you money, if it's something you've bought for yourself then the hope is that it will be something that you enjoy and that you will get a lot of use out of. Thus it is necessary to protect these investments with the best possible door security – and if you don't have this then all that money you spent might end up being dead money if the items are stolen and you never get to make the most of them.

More importantly though when you go to sleep in your home, you are doing so feeling hopefully confident that you are alone and that you can do so safely and securely. What you don't want is to feel nervous that someone is going to break in or that you are not safe in your own home – which is how you tend to feel after someone has bypassed your doors. More seriously this can lead to serious injury and if not for you then potentially for the people you are living with – it may result in an injury for your family or friends and this is of course a serious matter.

Thus we invest in the best possible security available and for most of us that means buying security alarms and CCTV. However what many of us forget is that most important of features – the security door. When you buy a lock you see, no matter what kind of high tech digital lock or detector lock you have implemented, it will only be as resilient as the door itself. If someone can kick the door off of its hinges then it really isn't going to be much use any more.

Good security doors then provide us with the most basic level of security and should be the first port of call when securing a property – how secure is the door? Because that is the central peg on which you hang all of your other office or home security elements.

This will mean getting kick-proof doors that are designed in such a way that you can't just kick them off their hinges. Very important to start with because even a firm door can often be kicked open if the person goes for the weak point in the center of the door or if they kick the handle of the door where the material is thicker. Security doors are made of a much heavier and thicker material and you would not be able to kick through them.
